English Breakfast


How to Make Pancakes:

break - romper
pour - servir
into - dentro de
whisk - batir
together - juntos / junto con
add - añadir
dry - seco
dollop - dejar
batter - la mezcla para rebozar
bubbles - la burbuja
spatula - la espátula

  • 200g or 7oz flour
  • 350-400ml/12-14fl oz milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp butter or oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • Vegetable oil for frying

  1. Put the flour into a large bowl and pour in the milk and eggs.
  2. Whisk the mixture.
  3. Then add the flour.
  4. Then whisk until you have a smooth batter.
  5. Add 1 tbsp vegetable oil and whisk.
  6. Take a frying pan. Oil the pan. Heat the pan for a minute.
  7. Add a spoonful of batter to the pan.
  8. Cook the pancake for approximately 30-40 seconds. Use a spatula to lift the pancake carefully to check it is golden-brown. Cook the other side for approx 30-40 seconds.
  9. Move pancakes to a serving plate.
